1. Overview

In this article, you can learn how to set up your Art Gallery store to start selling art prints. This is a very important aspect of any marketplace solution and ArtworkSale gives you an easy interface to quickly accomplish it.

With ArtworkSale, you will walk through a store setup wizard where you will be prompted to enter important data related to your store. These steps are described below with some tips on preparation to help speed up the process.

2. Setup Wizard

Once you successfully register a vendor account, you will be directed to the Art Gallery Store Setup Wizard. This easy-to-follow wizard allows you to enter essential data to kickstart your Art Gallery store, here’s what it looks like:

You can choose to provide the details here to pre-populate necessary details of your Art Gallery store. Or you can skip the wizard setup and go directly to your Dashboard but be sure to provide those details later at Dashboard > Settings.

TIP: The details you enter here are very important. This helps to optimize your Art Gallery for SEO purposes and informs those who visit your Art Gallery. Visitors want to know more about ArtworkSale artists and their works!

The entire process of the wizard should take 4-5 minutes. Let’s discuss the steps in further detail for a better understanding.

2.1. Step 1 – Store

In the initial step, you need to fill in details about your Art Gallery store, such as store profile image, banner, business address, and store description. Note that a few fields will be pre-filled (such as store email, name, etc.), you can fill in the remaining fields as shown below:

TIP: For your Art Gallery store profile image, an ideal size to upload is 125×125 pixels. The ideal banner size for uploading is 1650×510 pixels. To resize an image you can use various apps on your computer or smartphone, or use online platforms such as Canva.com. If you need further assistance, contact our Customer Care.

TIP: To speed up the setup process, prepare a description of your Art Gallery ahead of time. Think about what visitors to your Art Gallery would want to know about you and your artwork. Inform them about your achievements, what inspires you to create your art, favorite subjects, and more interesting tidbits of information you’d like to share with them. You can always make adjustments to your description later through your Dashboard at Dashboard > Settings. 

2.2. Step 2 – Payment

This is perhaps the most important step of all, where you will set up your payment method to receive your commission for each sale of your art. Choose your preferred payment method and fill in the necessary details. Most prefer using the bank transfer method.

2.3. Step 3 – Social Setup

You can also place the links of your social media channels in your Art Gallery store for more engagement. Adding social links to your Art Gallery store helps to boost your sales as it gives you more reach.

2.4. Step 4 – Finishing Step

Once the above wizard steps are completed you are all done with the setup and will see a screen like the following:

Clicking the link How to complete your Art Gallery”will provide you with instructions on the next steps.

Clicking on Let’s go to the Dashboard will redirect you to your Art Gallery Dashboard. There, you can fill in or adjust your details.

3. Dashboard Settings

In addition to the wizard, you can fill in or adjust the required details on the Store Settings panel in your Dashboard. Go to Dashboard > Settings as shown below:

You have completed configuring the basic details of your Art Gallery store!

4. Boost Gallery Engagement

You can boost your Art Gallery’s engagement by adding more valuable details. Visitors can view the type of artist you are, your credentials, an artist quote, an image of yourself, in-studio images, and more. The more details you provide in your Art Gallery, the more impressive it will be and will stand out from the competition!

Add these details by clicking on the Additional Store Info tab at Dashboard > Settings > Additional Store Info:
