This gives a clean, seamless optical illusion that your canvas art print image continues along the sides. White Canvas Wrap: For a clean, crisp effect, a white canvas wrap presents your art print with sides covered in seamless solid white. This gives a frame-like appearance and makes your art print an impressive standout.

“1715 Shipwreck” is an original painting printed on canvas, fine art paper, or matte photo paper.

About the Artwork

"1715 Shipwreck" by James Flood is an original painting of the Nuestra Señora del Carmen y San Antonio, originally the HMS Hampton Court. In this depiction, the ship, days after the storm of 1715, is grounded on the east coast of Florida, the only one from the Spanish Treasure Fleet to beach relatively intact. Dignitaries from Cuba have gathered to develop a plan to salvage what they can from the wreckage. This painting demonstrates James's command of artistry, precise detail, and execution of form and color. "1715 Shipwreck" adds drama to any wall space and creates a focal point of historical significance that viewers will appreciate. This artwork makes a perfect addition to a home, entryway, or office space. Ideal for maritime art collectors, historical ship enthusiasts, and lovers of marine vessels. In the Press

Born near the dockyards of Philadelphia, I may as well have been a ship, so great is my passion for them. Painting became a new passion, and although I love making ship models, painting has been my mainstay ever since.
I prefer a smooth canvas, but I have and will paint on anything. When you devote your life to your passion, many times you must make do with whatever you find available. Although I’ve used nearly every medium (mostly oils in the distant past) I left it all behind once I turned to acrylics. My art is my lifestyle. I love history, live history, and now that I’m older, more than ever.
