Orders are processed within 48 hours of placement. Once your order is processed, the order cannot be canceled. Most deliveries take 3-10 business days after shipment. Actual delivery time depends on shipping distance, availability of the ordered item(s), and the shipping method you choose. Shipping is available only to addresses in the United States at this time. Shipments cannot be delivered to U.S. military bases, P.O. boxes, and destinations different than the billing address. Orders must be placed and credit approved no later than 2:00 p.m. Eastern / 11:00 a.m. Pacific for shipping to occur within the next two business days if the item is in stock. We reserve the right to cancel orders at any time with prior written notification.
If you are not completely satisfied with your art print purchase and (a) the packaging has not been opened, or (b) your art print purchase is defective, it may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of receipt. Original shipment and handling charges are not refundable, and you will be responsible for all costs associated with the return shipment. In order to cancel your order or if you have received a defective item, you must first contact our Customer Service at (561) 302-3249 during normal business hours for replacement/refund information. Customer Service will assign you a return material authorization number (RMA#) that must appear with the return shipping address. Returns without a valid RMA# will not be accepted. Original shipment and handling charges are not refundable, and you will be responsible for all costs associated with the return shipment.

About the Artwork
Fire in the sky: This abstract painting evokes the meeting point between water, weather, and light. Deep, textured blues gather along the lower edge like a restless shoreline or mountain range, while soft washes of white, turquoise, yellow, and orange open above it into an atmospheric sky. The surface feels layered and weathered, with scraped and diffused marks suggesting mist, reflection, erosion, and movement.
The piece carries a sense of landscape without becoming literal. It feels like a memory of a place: part coast, part storm, part sunrise. The contrast between the dark blue lower forms and the luminous upper field creates an emotional pull between grounding and expansion, turbulence and calm.
Why I Painted It
This work explores the shifting boundary between land, water, and atmosphere. I’m interested in the way color and texture can hold memory — not as a fixed image, but as a felt experience. The layered blues suggest depth, movement, and uncertainty, while the warmer yellows and oranges bring in light, renewal, and energy.
Rather than describing a specific place, the painting invites the viewer into an emotional landscape. It reflects the tension between stillness and change: the way storms pass, horizons dissolve, and light continues to return. Through scraping, layering, and gestural marks, I build a surface that feels both weathered and alive.

Janice Savage is a contemporary abstract artist based in Delray Beach, Florida. Working primarily in acrylic, she creates richly layered paintings that explore memory, movement, light, and the quiet tension between order and spontaneity.
Each painting develops intuitively through a process of building, scraping, obscuring, and revealing layers until the work arrives at its own visual equilibrium. Rather than working from a predetermined image, Savage allows each composition to evolve through continuous dialogue with the canvas. The visible surface carries the history of every decision made beneath it.
Her visual language is deeply influenced by the landscapes that have shaped her life. Growing up along the Long Island Sound in Mamaroneck, New York, she became fascinated by changing skies, shifting tides, weather patterns, and the constant movement of water. Now living in South Florida, she draws equal inspiration from tropical light, expansive skies, and the vibrant coastal environment. These places appear not as literal landscapes, but as emotional memories translated through color, texture, and atmosphere.
Savage's work explores themes of resilience, transformation, and persistence. Through layered abstraction, she invites viewers to slow down, look more closely, and discover their own narratives within each painting. No two viewers experience the work in the same way—a quality she considers essential to abstraction.
Her paintings have been exhibited in juried exhibitions and regional galleries and are held in private collections. She continues to create original contemporary abstract paintings from her Florida studio, believing that the most meaningful work emerges not from certainty, but from the willingness to remain curious.
